Senior Account Manager: Agency Sales

Synopsis

The purpose of this role is to drive sales revenue by managing, developing and retaining of client base, through the marketing and distribution of products and services. This is achieved via direct interaction with the prospective corporate clients and via the direct management of a select group of Advertising Agencies.


Minimum Requirements

•Matric essential
•A graduate qualification in Commerce or Marketing or similar is preferred
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales, ideally in a similar environment
•A combination of operations and sales / marketing management background would be ideal
•3 years product sales experience and a solid track record of success in the Outdoor sector


Role Description

MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION
1. To Manage & Grow Existing key Accounts and Clients
•Provide the agency service and tactical direction and solutions
•Manage and plan sales activities
•Driving new business opportunities for the company and ensuring maximum profitability
•Strategically deliver new and ongoing solutions for clients that would form part of the client’s strategy plans that would be implemented tactically or as part of their media activity.
•Manage the retention of existing clients by delivering consistent high standard of work to exceed expectations of clients and the company

2. Manage Client Relationships
•Ensure clear understanding of the client strategic or operational requirements and communicate accordingly
•Deliver high standard of client satisfaction, measuring this through feedback, reviews and response to campaigns
•Continuously adapting and adjusting approaches to benefit client and company needs
•Communication and networking with all Company departments to facilitate problem solving
•Establishing, maintaining developing of all business relationships
•Negotiating with clients, the level of Business and servicing requirements

3. Manage contracts or sales agreements

4. Reporting and Administration
•Compile the weekly sales activity report as per departmental arrangement
•Discuss report contents at weekly sales meetings and present additional information for further processing by the National Sales Manager
•Submit planned clients or site visits to the National Sales Manager
•The ability to calculate and monitor Inventory Profitability which is GP margin and capex payback parameters
